Privately set on over 2 acres and tucked among towering pines on the quiet shoreline of Sand Lake, Deer Run Retreat offers the classic Minnesota lake experience — morning coffee on the porch, afternoons on the water, and evenings around the fire as the sun settles behind the trees.

Whether you're planning a multi-family summer vacation, a golf weekend, a fishing trip, or a fall color escape, this spacious lakefront home was designed for gathering and unwinding.

The Main Level – Light, Views & Easy Living

As you enter the home, you’re welcomed by a large lakeside sunroom with dining space and a comfortable sitting area overlooking the water. It’s the perfect place for morning breakfast, puzzles with the kids, or a quiet cup of coffee while watching the lake wake up.

Just beyond, the living room features ample seating, a cozy propane fireplace, and beautiful sunset views through large windows that frame the lake. In cooler months, this becomes the heart of the home — warm, inviting, and ideal for movie nights or conversation after a day outdoors.

The kitchen has been freshly renewed and is fully stocked with stainless steel appliances, generous counter space, and everything you need to prepare meals for a full house. The dining area overlooks the lake, making family dinners feel special without being formal.

Down the hall you’ll find a full bath and a main-level bedroom featuring a twin bed with full bed and an additional twin trundle — a favorite setup for younger guests.

At the end of the hall is the spacious primary suite, complete with:

King bed
Sofa sleeper
Private ¾ bath
Large walk-in closet
A private screened porch overlooking the woods

It’s not uncommon to spot white-tailed deer passing through in the evening — a quiet reminder you’re truly “up north.”

The Lower Level – Space to Spread Out

The lower level offers a comfortable family room with a large TV — perfect for game days, movie nights, or relaxing on a rainy afternoon.

Two additional bedrooms are located downstairs:

One with a Queen bed
One with a Twin-over-Full bunk plus a separate Twin

There’s also a separate playroom stocked with toys, books, and Lego space — giving younger guests their own area while adults relax upstairs.

With multiple gathering areas on both levels, large groups can enjoy time together without feeling crowded.

Outdoor Living – The Best Part of Lake Life

The lakeside deck offers multiple seating options and overlooks the yard and dock. Just steps away you’ll find a dedicated firepit space with Adirondack chairs and plentiful firewood — ideal for late-night s’mores and storytelling under the stars.

The private dock sits on Sand Lake, a fully recreational lake known for excellent fishing and boating. The dock is available for your boat or a rental from a local provider. A paved public launch is located just ¼ mile west of the property for easy access.
